Great kiln opening today!!!

What a busy day today....We had a great kiln opening....We just opened the kiln and they had hardly cooled off before we had some people drop by to buy...it was wonderful..lots of bear soap dishes for Three bears Gift Shop in Invermere that we will take up tomorrow.We hope they will love them.I am still working on taking better photos...yikees it is a struggle when you have no natural light...I wasn't able to post a lot of the things that came out of the kiln today but I hope you enjoy the ones that I did capture.

New Glaze Firing

This is what came out of the kiln yesterday.Karen and Ev have been busy glazing.

Sushi sets,leaves and platters.Ev has been doing a series of bear platters for Three Bears gift shop.If you are ever in Invermere B.C be sure to stop in and see a thier beautiful store.

Retired???

Ev has said she is retired from Log Home Building?? I don't think so ...she has just changed the material.Her attention to detail and contruction is worthy of any handcrafted Ram Creek Log home.

The white vase is for our most loyal follower..our sister Dagmar,who always leaves us such nice comments.

Karen our other frog has been busy at her other job and hasn't had time for a lot of glazing..

Don't worry Karen summer will be here soon and you will have lots of potting time....Yipee!!

The frog is a yarn bowl just to keep you company when you are knitting or crocheting.He just makes me smile.

The Studio is humming

The studio has been really busy....back to back glaze firings and  Ev loaded the kiln for a bisque firing today.Lots of birdhouses and feeders,we are getting everything ready for our Mother's day sale on May 12th at Log Cabin Studio.The bowls are from a teacher Don who came out last week to learn about glazing.I think he will be really happy with the results.I love the way the big bowl turned out.
